Electrotherapy is the workhorse adjunct in a chiropractic office: it quiets muscle guarding so the segment is easier to adjust. Commonly run pre-adjustment to relax hypertonic paraspinals, or post-adjustment for pain control before the patient leaves. BodyMed 2″ x 2″ fabric-backed self-adhesive electrodes for TENS and EMS units, sold by the case of 520 (8 boxes of 65). The adhesive gel layer allows multiple uses per electrode: after treatment, return the electrode to its plastic liner for later use.
