Hot and cold therapy brackets the chiropractic adjustment — heat to prepare tissue, ice to settle an acute segment afterward. Moist heat before the adjustment to reduce guarding; cold after an acute adjustment to control the inflammatory response. Electric heating pad with 4 settings (Warm, Lo, Med, Hi) and auto shut-off.
